April Highlights
KISS Dance
The 3rd Annual KISS Dance was a hit! Held on Friday, February 28th at Hillview Gym, the event welcomed 368 attendees for a fun-filled night of dancing, music, and treats. Guests enjoyed Philly Pretzel Factory snacks, XOXO cookies, water, a photo booth, DJ entertainment, a visit from Peter Panther, and a “Guess How Many M&M’s” contest. Big thanks to the KISS Committee for making the night so memorable—everyone had a blast!
Frozen Desserts
We held our first frozen dessert fundraiser from March 3–17 with Miss Chocolate/Ashley Farms. Thanks to our amazing supporters, we sold $3,038 worth of delicious items, including frozen pies, cheesecakes, cookie dough, popcorn, nuts, chocolates, kitchenware, and gifts. We made a profit of $1,190.20, which will go toward supporting future school activities. Huge thanks to everyone who participated and made our first fundraiser a hit!
Field Day Shirt Winner
Congratulations to Alessia Zittel on winning the Field Day T-shirt contest! Special thanks to all the students who paticipated. Looking forward to wearing the design at Field Day on May 12th!
Coin Challenge
From April 7th to 11th, Hillview held its annual All for Books Coin Challenge. Each day focused on collecting a different type of coin—pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters—ending with a free-choice donation day. Thanks to our generous students and families, we raised a total of $1,315.57 to help purchase new books for our school at the upcoming book fair in May! Congratulations to Class 3P, who raised the most with $146.80! They’ll enjoy a sweet ice pop treat as their reward. Close behind were Class 3C with $130.24 and Class 2B with $114.21. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped support our love of reading at Hillview!

HSA HAPPENINGS
At this time, we do not have enough board members to have a HSA next year. The HSA is a vital part of Hillview. The HSA raises funds for assemblies, field day, field trip share cost, scholarships, teacher supplies/wishlists, BOOKWORMY, 5th grade PV PARK day, 5th Grade Recognition Ceremonies, Author Visits, Class Parties, Clubs, Library needs and so much more. We will not be able to have those things without an active HSA.
We have been able to streamline a lot of what the HSA board does over the past 2 years to make it so that being on the HSA board should not be a constraint, but rather be a rewarding experience. In an effort to make it more convenient, we will be moving HSA meetings from monthly to quarterly for the 2025-2026 school year.
Please consider nominating yourself and help us keep the HSA alive at Hillview. Use link below for nominations and additional information on positions available.
